The good the bad and the Ugly Prt. 2

 - conceptual properties
        - is the theme appropriate to the site's content?
        - is the designer trying something unique?
                - does it "work"?
                - Is it an improvement?
        - audience
                - who is the sites intended audience
                - is the site appropriate for said audience?
The Good:

The theme here is simplicity in ordering things someone wants. The color scheme works for this particular website, and it is easy to navigate. The designer is not necessarily trying something new, but rather the designer tries something simple, effective and easy for the user to address his/her needs.

The main audience can be split up into two groups here, the general public and chain stores looking to join this company and sell their goods online, through this distributor. This site genuinely targets these users effectively, buy showing some products and picking them. Form the link the site shows you more popular choices and allows you to order a catalog to see more goods sold by the companies.

The Bad

The theme seems to be power, that the buyer wants in a machine, and the site offers it in many forms.  Machine, and power, and duration are represented with in the Muskox that seems to be they symbol of this company.

The designer is not trying something new but rather something more common seen in websites in terms of color scheme. Orange yellow much more brother colors are used to distinguish the main navigation elements.  The colors seem to work together making it easier for the user to navigate around when on a single page. But that is about it. Nothing new is presented in this website altogether.

This site seems to be directed more towards companies who need machines for heavy lifting/transportation. This geared to the manufacturing labor forces industries. People who do a lot of lifting transportation on a small scale indoors or out. Helps from moving heavy loads of steel, and other such objects. Yes it is very appropriate for audiences and the site does a very well job of advertising their products. MOTREC site has various options for its consumers, but it could have been done in a better way.

Ramon: The Good, the Bad and the UGLY

This site, called PIXEL BYTES, was the first site to catch my eye. When I clicked on the link to the site, I was greeted with an actual moving picture of the night sky. The user interface is smooth and very easy to understand, as a user. For more info visit: http://pixelbytesmedia.com/

This next selection has a simple but elegant design that caught my eye. Only a handful of colors are used which helped me keep focused on what I was really looking for. I felt, that this site was very simply made, limiting the user to read small information segments, and giving them the option to read more. http://www.ananascream.fr/
This last site I thought was not particularly ugly, but compared with the first two I found, it was a bit lacking in creativity. It was easy to navigate as a user, but the color scheme seemed to me a bit bland, and kind of cunfusing in what they were trying to get across to the user.  http://htmlcolorcodes.com/

Ramon Moreno:

This site titled "The World We live in", contains different pictures form all over the world showing the diversity of our planet. It not only shows geographical locations, but people in those locations, all different from one another.

I have always been an admirer of the nature and its immense scope of life. This picture to me not only captures the variety of nature, but also its mesmerizing beauty.

This next selection inspires me to think of not only the capacity of the human intellect, but the will power to execute ones desires and ultimately build something worth while. It is not only beautiful, but stunning to think that the human species is capable of building objects that transcend generations.
